Open Board positions:
President Elect - The president elect shall partner with her co-president to preside at all meetings of the sisterhood and of the board of directors. They shall appoint all committees in consultation with the board, call special meetings of the sisterhood, and cooperate with all the committees in their work. The presidents shall represent the sisterhood on the congregation’s board of directors as well as at district federation and WRJ meetings.
Treasurer Elect - The treasurer shall supervise the collection of all dues and other sisterhood funds. She shall issue receipts for all dues and keep a record of all monies received and disbursed. The treasurer shall promptly deposit all funds in the bank designated by the board of directors.
Recording Secretary - The recording secretary shall keep a record of all sisterhood proceedings
and shall be custodian of all records (including digital files), books and papers.
VP Membership - Are you a social butterfly? Does everyone want to join whatever club you're in? Well you are the perfect person to head the Membership committee! The Membership committee plans a fall "getting to know one-another" membership event and works year-round reaching out to all women in our congregation.
VP Fundraising - Each year sisterhood donates scholarship funds to all three TIOH schools, underwrites women's programming and contributes to our parent organization *the WRJ) for scholarships to HUC and many progressive projects in Israel and Russia. For each dollar we receive in dues, another two dollars is raised through our many fundraising activities including the HG Judaica Shop and the Chanukah Bazaar. The VP of Fundraising will help delegate our many fundraising activities so sisterhood continues to support these important concerns.
